About Me
I'm Adam Fields, a full-stack software engineer. I've designed and built high-traffic systems across many industries. For the past few years, I've been on a sabbatical focused on systems programming, machine learning, and decentralized finance.
Before writing code professionally, I spent nearly a decade as a technical recruiter embedded with engineering teams, while teaching myself web development on nights and weekends.
Lately my focus has been on coding with agents. I use all the mainstream harnesses with a preference for OpenCode and open-weight models. Hermes is my personal assistant and I've been dogfooding my own agents built with Flue. I'm also interested in RLM for dynamic context management, and exploring different approaches to persistent memory.
I'm active in DeFi, mostly on Base, though I've bridged across many L1s and rollups. I use RPC endpoints to monitor wallet transactions and inspect protocol activity. I'm also learning Solidity.
Away from the keyboard, I'm into hypertrophy training and nutrition. I also enjoy video games, especially WoW and Diablo, and listening to electronic music.
I live just outside Boston. For work history, see my resume. If you'd like to connect, you can email me or follow on LinkedIn, GitHub, Hugging Face, and X.
